The Fine Arts department celebrates the value of the arts in education, embracing visual arts, dance, music, film and theatre through both curricular and extracurricular activities. The philosophy of the department is based on a commitment to the balanced education of the total individual. As such, we seek to present the students with opportunities to mature as Christian men and women who are physically and intellectually developed as well-rounded individuals who have an appreciation and understanding of artistic, technological, and physical skills which will enable them to function in the world of the twenty-first century. All these skills and the learning activities in which they are presented are placed in a Christian environment geared at aiding the students to be individuals with a healthy sense of self-esteem who are respectful and tolerant of themselves and others in the school, local, and world communities. |
